Pench Tiger Reserve is famous wildlife watching park situated on the border of Madhya Pradesh & Maharashtra states. This forest area is spread over Satpura hills of Central India. Due to presence of Pench river in this forest, its name is Pench National Park. This jungle is also called the playground of Mowgli or Mogli, the famous character of Rudyard's classic "The Jungle Book". It is one of the best wildlife holiday destination, next to Satpura national park. Pench tiger reserve is located in Seoni and Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh which is only 290 km away from the Satpura National Park by road. The area under the Pench National Park and Tiger Reserve is described in Ain-i-Akbari and is the base location of the famous The Jungle Book. This is the historic place and now world famous national park is the one which you never want to miss if you are travelling to Satpura National Park.
